A wonderful piece of nature

The 268-acre Beck Ranch site was originally a working cattle ranch in Osteen. Volusia County purchased the land through the Volusia Forever program to preserve the historical structures and provide a multipurpose park for county residents to enjoy.

Two multipurpose fields, adjacent to the park, are available for soccer, football and other activities.

The 25-acre park includes:

Dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs
Three pavilions with picnic tables and grills
Restrooms
Playground
Two volleyball courts
65 parking spaces

The park also features huge live oak trees and Florida-friendly landscaping.

Visitors can view the ranch's scale house, grain silo and slaughter house.

Outdoor interpretive panels explain the history of the ranch, which once encompassed 10,000 acres on both sides of State Road 415.

Many types of wildlife and vegetation can be observed at Beck Ranch Park. Please do not remove any plants or harm the animals and birds that live here.

Driving on the beach comes with a small fee of $20 per vehicle, per day which allows for an entire day of beach driving and parking. In an effort to conserve our natural resources, beach access is limited to specific sections of the beach and is dependent on tide conditions.  Daytona Beach is dubbed the “World’s Most Famous Beach” for a variety of reasons, but mainly for its 23 miles of wide, hard-packed white-sand beaches that welcomed the first automobile and motorcycle races in 1902. Today, while professional drivers stick to the track at the ‘World Center of Racing’, Daytona International Speedway, visitors still enjoy driving very slowly (10 mph) along Daytona Beach in designated areas, tide permitting.
